Is idol worship a new thing? / क्या मूर्ति पूजा कोई नई चीज है?

Idol worship is not a new thing. It was there in Arabia 1400 years ago, it is present here till today.Makkah was the center of 360 idols at the time of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him). Again and again in history at the back of men of God, selfish men when they seize power want worship for themselves or their fantasies, in derogation of the One True God. Power, which should have been an instrument of good, becomes in their hands an instrument of evil. They turn the houses of worship into places of worshipping idols and the practice of unseemly rites and cults. They turn religion into blasphemous superstitions to misguide their own people, rejecting a true messenger of God and persecuting all those who follow his teachings. But, they and their supporters are rushing headlong to perdition; when their cup of iniquity will be full, they will have no time to repent or to Think again… Have you not seen those who have changed the Blessings of Allah into blasphemy and caused their people to dwell in the house of destruction? – Hell, in which they will burn, – and what an evil place to settle in! And they set up (idols) as equal to Allah, to mislead (men) from the His path! Say: “Enjoy (your brief power)! But certainly, you are making straightway to Hell!” (Al-Qur’aan 14:28-30) क्या मूर्ति पूजा कोई नई चीज है? मूर्ति पूजा कोई नई बात नहीं है।  1400 साल पहले यह अरब में थी और आज भी यहां मौजूद है।  पैगंबर मोहम्मद (शांति हो उन पर) के समय मक्का 360 मूर्तियों का केंद्र था। इतिहास में बार-बार महापुरुषों की आड़ में स्वार्थी लोगोँ ने ताक़त का ग़लत इस्तेमाल करके अपने या अपनी कल्पनाओं के लिए पूजा करवाई, एक सच्चे भगवान के अपमान में।  हुकूमत, जो भलाई का एक उपकरण होना चाहिए थी, उनके हाथ में बुराई का उपकरण बन गई। वे पूजा घरों को मूर्तियों की पूजा के स्थानों में बदल देते हैं और अनुचित संस्कारों और दोषों का अभ्यास करते हैं। वे धर्म को अपने ही लोगों को गुमराह करने, ईश्वर के एक सच्चे दूत को अस्वीकार करने और उसकी शिक्षाओं का पालन करने वाले सभी लोगों को सताने के लिए निन्दात्मक अंधविश्वास में बदल देते हैं। लेकिन, वे और उनके समर्थक अंधाधुन विनाश की ओर बढ़ रहें हैं;  जब उनके अधर्म का घड़ा भर जाएगा, तो उनके पास समय नही बचेगा के पश्चाताप करें या फिर से विचार करें… "क्या तुमने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जिन्होंने अल्लाह की नेमत को कुफ़्र से बदल डाला औऱ अपनी क़ौम को विनाश-गृह में उतार दिया; "जहन्नम में, जिसमें वे झोंके जाएँगे और वह अत्यन्त बुरा ठिकाना है! "और उन्होंने अल्लाह के प्रतिद्वन्दी (मूर्तियाँ) बना दीं, ताकि परिणामस्वरूप वे उन्हें उसके मार्ग से भटका दें। कह दो, "थोड़े दिन मज़े ले लो। अन्ततः तुम्हें आग ही की ओर जाना है।"(अल-कुरान 14: 28-30)
