In the name of Allah the most merciful and beneficial
WHAT IS MIRACLES OF SAINT - IT'S CONCEPT AND DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AUTHENTIC AND FALSE MIRACLES. THE FALSE ABOUT AJMER SHARIF DARGAH.
The Miracles (mujizah and karamah)
The term Miracle (Mu’jizah) is something that violates the natural phenomena earlier scholars used Karamah as a synonym of Mu’jizah, but later generation of scholars differentiated between the two. Mu’jizah is used for prophet and Karamah is used for the wali (a favorite of Allah), and the result of occurrence for both is contravention of natural phenomena. All the prophets from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all) have been ordered to mention that they no longer have any power over the matters that they do miraculously, except with the help of Allah.
..."while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He wills." (Al Quran 2:255)
The Miracle of saints
The
Miracles (Mu’jizah) of Prophet serve the purpose of advantage in
religion. but as for the Miracles (Karamah) of saints, this can be
similarly divided into three firstly if religion gains honor through
the act then we call it a great act. Secondly, if it satisfies
something applicable, of the non-obligatory element – then we
recollect it as the blessing of Allah on that character of the
worldly gains. Thirdly, the action which leads to illegitimate act on
shariah, then we disagree with it strongly due to the fact this act
leads one for the retribution of Allah.
Sufis
most of the time claim to possess the Karamah which they called it as
Ilham or Kashfs (intuition, insight, things which are unseen). Which
could
manifest to someone is of several kinds. One type is psychological,
which is common with both Muslims and Non-Muslims. Another kind is
religious, which comes thru revelation. And third type is satanic,
which comes through the jinn.
Shaykh
ul Islam ibn Tahmiyaa said: People may additionally enjoy some type of kashf or Ilhaam in their
dreams by way of spiritual practices. This is Phycological which is
the primary form of kashf. The second type is conveyed with the aid
of the angels and this is the noblest type, as is indicated via the
Quran and Hadith. Thirdly, which is achieved by way of outdoor
forces, inclusive of the jinn who tell the soothsayers many things.
That is something that is well known, particularly to the ones who
have experienced it, and we've come to recognize approximately these
items on many events.
(Al
safadiyah p187-189, Topic intuition).
Ibn
Al Qayyim said: Understanding
what is there in someone’s residence or what he acquires what is
in his hand or beneath his garment, or whether her wife is pregnant
with a boy or girl after the gender has been decided, or things that
cannot be visible which includes things that are taking vicinity far
away, and so forth. This practise could come from the shaytaan and
from one's own whim and fancy, hence it may happen to the
Non-believers along with the Christians and people who worship idols
or fire. (Madaarij
al-saalikeen, 3/227, 228)
In
order for it to be regarded as a karaamah, it is stipulated that the
only at whose hand this miracle happens ought to be adhering strictly
to Islam and following sharee‘ah. If that isn't always the case,
then these terrific matters happen are the end result of devilish
work.
Authentic examples of Karamat
The
fact that karaamaat (miracles) took place to the righteous of this
ummah is something that is tested and there is absolute confidence
regarding it.
Qays
ibn Abi Haazim stated: I noticed Khalid ibn al-Waleed in Heerah. A
few poisons were introduced to him and he stated: what is this? They
said: poison that kills in a very short time. He stated: bismillah
(in the name of Allah), then he swallowed it and not anything
horrific took place to him.

wa’n-nihaayah, 6/382
Ibn
Qayim said that I saw astounding examples of the intuition of shaykh
al-Islam Ibn Tahmiyyah. He advised his companions about the Tatars
entering ash-sham in 699AH, and that the Muslim armies could be
defeated, but there would be no widescale killing or taking of
prisoners in Damascus, and that the (enemy) major interest would be
in seizing wealth. This turned into before the Tatars took any attack
or action. Later, He informed people and commanders in 702 AH they
would be defeated by Muslim and he swore more than 70 oaths about
this event. Ibn Qayim confirmed that it was said in affirmation and
certainty without any hesitation and doubt and he was present there.
His intuition about the details of those battles was awe-inspiring
indeed.

Fabricated Karamats of saints
The
fans of shaykh ‘Abd Al-Qaadir al-Jilaani have informed many lies
about him and attributed to him many lies which he never said, which
go towards the way he lived and his call to observe the salaf and
keeping himself away from innovations. There are many lies available
in his qaseeda whose writer is unknown , it claims that he (Abdul
Qadir Jilani) was exposed to the light of Muhammad earlier than
creation, and that he was available with Jibril and Muhammad (peace
be upon them both) at the time of first revelation, and that he was
available with Noah (peace be upon him) in the ship, and he saw the
flood, and that he was with Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was
heave into the fire, and that the fire became cool due to his du’aa’
and that he was with Ismaeel, and the ram was dispatched down because
of his fatwa, and that he was available with Yaqoob (peace be upon
him) when he lost his eye sight, and his eyes were healed through his
spitting on them, and he's the one who brought Idrees (peace be upon
him) to Jannat al-Firdaus(highest level in paradise), and that he was
available with Moosa (peace be upon him) when he said to his lord,
and the staff of Moosa came from his staff; and that he was available
with ‘Eeesa in the cradle; and that he is the one who gave Dawood
the beautiful voice in recitation. And he made even more outrageous
claims that, he claimed that he's Allah in three lines of his
qaseedah.
One
of the falsehoods fabricated by some of extremist people who says
that Moinuddin Chishti (famous by name of Khawaja Garib Nawaz) went
to Madinah, where he went to the grave of the prophet (blessings and
peace be upon him) and spoke with him. However, it is not possible,
because the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) died and his
worldly life came to end. So, whoever claims that he saw the prophet
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or spoke to him after his
death is a liar.?
Furthermore,
it also fabricated that Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon him) lengthen out his noble hand to him, and he kissed it, and
that is widely accepted, recognised and believed by some of the fans
of his tariqah?
The difference between the two stories
The
fabricated stories have no basis in sunnah (prophetic teachings and
his narration) and is contrary to Islam in many ways. Certainly,
these false stories are things that become extensively widespread
among those who are ignorant about the religion. These fabricated
stories enclose things that go against the law of Allah which have
bad effects on common folks. In one of hadith prophet (peace be upon
him) said when the Bani israeel were doomed they started to tell
stories."
(hadith
classified as hasan [good] by sheikh Al Albani in Al silsila al
saheehah)
Beyond
that the authentic stories never go gainst the law of Allah and is
beneficial which teaches the people about religion and motivate them
to do the righteous deeds. A man may sit with another man and not
learn anything and he may sit with knowledgeable man and get up with
learning something. It was said by Abd Allah ibn Zayd to whom
narrated by Abu Qilabah.(Hilyat
Al Awliya)
Conclusion
So,
it is essential to check one who perform miracle in opposition to the
Qur'an and sunnah. If his behaviour is in accordance with the book of
Allah and the sunnah of his messenger, then he's a righteous person,
whether he posess miracles or not, if it is not in accordance with
it, then he isn't a righteous, despite what miracles he performs.
Ash-shaafa‘i
stated: if you see a person walking at the water or flying through
the air, do not be fool yourself with helping them before judging
about them on the basis of the Qur'an and sunnah.
